The outset of impactful discussions begins with Theodor Herzl’s initial encounters with Zionist leaders, including David Wolffsohn, Menachem Ussishkin, Max Bodenheimer, and other influential figures. Herzl continues to pursue his diplomatic agenda by engaging with emissaries of global leaders, such as the Grand Duke Friedrich of Baden and the envoy of the Pope, and by a diplomatic journey to Constantinople for discussions with the Ottoman Sultan’s representatives. The itinerary also encompassed discussions with the Jewish community in Sofia, exploratory visits to London and Paris, and a compelling address at the Maccabean Club in the East End of London, ultimately culminating in the only meeting with Baron Edmond de Rothschild.
