Ich bemerke hierauf, dass es bei den Verfolgungen, denen unser Volk seit vielen Jahrhunderten ausgesetzt war, kein Wunder sei, wenn die Juden moralische Defecte aufweisen. Dem stimmt er zu. Dann gehe ich auf meinen Plan näher ein, es handle sich nicht um eine Colonisation im Kleinen, sondern im Grossen. Wir wollen das Territorium als ein autonomes. Er hört mit wachsender Spannung und Theilnahme zu, findet dass es ein grosser, schöner, menschenfreundlicher Plan sei.
