Anlaß eine Landspeculation zu machen, die sofortige Entlaßung cum infamia für immer nach sich ziehe. — Wol aber werden sie wie alle unsere Beamten Vorzugsrechte der Platzwahl für ihre Häuser erhalten die wir ihnen billig und aus Gehaltsabzügen nach dem Amortisationsprincip bauen. — Separatnotiz: Muß ichs als Buch machen, so wird alles zu ver= meiden sein, was wie Prospect aussieht. — Ich muß den kleinen Juden und Regierungen nahelegen mich darum zu bitten, aber wenn ich's nicht d'un air absolument détaché mache, so werde ich lächerlich, und ein für den herrlichen Zweck un= taugliches Instrument. — Wenn uns auf dem Landnahmeschiff das neue Land in Sicht kommt, wird die Fahne der Society ge= hißt %die später Staats­fahne wird%. — Alle müßen sich entblößen. — Grüßen wir unsere Fahne. — Mit einer schlechten billigen Fahne in der Hand, steigt der Erste ans Land. — Sie wird dann im Nationalmuseum aufbewahrt. — Für die Legende, eine eigenthümliche Kappe

As soon as we sight the new shores from the pioneering ship, the flag of the Society (which will later become the national flag) will be hoisted.

 

All will bare their heads. Let us salute our flag!

 

The first man ashore will carry a cheap, shoddy flag in his hand. It will later be preserved in the National Museum.

ואולם תהיה להם, כמו לכל הפקידים שלנו, זכות קדימה בבחירת המקום לבתיהם, בתים שנבנה בשבילם בזול על בסיס של ניכויים ממשכורותיהם לפי עקרון האמורטיזציה.

רישום נפרד:

אם איאלץ לעשות את זה בצורת ספר צריך יהיה לעשות את הכול כדי למנוע שייראה כמו פּרוֹספֶּקט מסחרי.

עלי להביא את היהודים הקטנים ואת הממשלות לידי כך שיבקשו ממני לעסוק בעניין. אבל אם לא אעשה זאת d'un air absolument détaché (כאילו אין לי כל מעורבות אישית), אהיה מגוחך ואהפוך למכשיר שלא יצלח לַמפעל הנהדר.

כשנהיה באוניית־החלוץ־לקבלת־הארץ ותתגלה לעינינו הארץ החדשה, יונף דגל ה־Society (שיהיה אחר־כך דגל המדינה). כולם צריכים להסיר את כובעיהם. הבה נצדיע לדגלנו.

 

הראשון יורד ליבשה ובידו דגל פשוט וזול. דגל זה יישמר אחר־כך במוזאון הלאומי.
