בהזדמנות הזאת ארשה לעצמי להניח לרגלי הכס הקיסרי מתנה צנועה, את ספרי האחרון. זה רומן דמיוני, תמונת־עתיד של התוצאות הברוכות שעשויה להביא התיישבות יהודית בארץ־ישראל. צריך הייתי, לצערי, לשוות לרעיון שלי צורה של פנטזיה, משום שלא עלה בידי לקבל את הסכמת הוד רוממותו הקיסרית. 

עתה אנסה להפוך את תוכניותי למציאות במקום אחר, בטריטוריה אחרת.
