Gestern ließ der Kohlengutmann

bei mir anfragen, ob ich eine Ein=

nehmen würde.

Ich ging gleich zu ihm hinüber, sagte

ihm in dem nachlässigen Ton, der bei so

ungebildeten Menschen am Platz ist:

Die Besprechung ist lauter Mumpitz.

Sie wollen der neuen rumänischen Aus=

wanderung zuvorkommen? (Vielleicht

aber fürchten Sie sich nur vor der

Action D[octo]ris Elias in Mülhausen

gegen die Gesammtallianz.)

Kurz, ich that, als glaubte ich ihm.

„Ich sehe nur zwei Wege“, sagte ich.

הדיון הוא בבחינת דיון סרק. אתם רוצים למנוע את ההגירה החדשה מרומניה? (ושמא אתה רק חושש מפני הפעולה של הדוקטור אֶליאס ממילהאוּזֶן נגד חברת כי״ח?)

בקצרה, העמדתי פנים שאני מאמין לו.

"אני רואה רק שתי דרכים", אמרתי לו.
