Bericht der Commission, den

Goldsmid einem Typewrite

abdictirte, mit folgendem

Brief an Cromer zu schicken:

My Lord 27 März [1903]

I have the honour to submit for your

consideration the report of the commission

that has just returned from the

Sinai Peninsula.

I need hardly remark that should

Your Lordship wish to see the members

The reasons for his departure are getting more and more puzzling.

Levontin has sent word that Greenberg drew the £100 for traveling expenses although he didn’t take the trip. We’ll see if he returns it. But I wouldn’t mind if he kept it.

I have decided to send the commission’s report, which Goldsmid dictated to a typewriter, to Cromer with the following letter:

My Lord,

ככל שהזמן חולף, סיבת עזיבתו נהיית חידתית יותר ויותר.

מלבונטין הגיעה ידיעה שגרינבֶּרג, אף שלא נסע, קיבל את מאת הליש״ט להוצאות נסיעה. נראה אם יחזיר אותן. גם לא אתנגד אם יחזיק בהן.

החלטתי לשלוח אל קרוֹמֶר את דוח המשלחת, שהכתיב גוֹלדסמיד לכתבן במכונת כתיבה [במקור: einem Typewriter], בצירוף המכתב הזה [באנגלית]:

27 במארס [1903, המכתב נשלח ב־28 במארס]
