Im „ Conventionnel “

genannten Bummelzug

irgendwo in Bulgarien

vor Philippopel.

Da wäre ich also aus der

Mörderhöhle u. dem Räuberlande

wieder heraus.

Die Introduction des gestrigen

Tages war die gewöhnliche.

Als ich vor Beschiktasch ankam,

hatte Wellisch die Depes Antwort

Greenbergs noch nicht. Sie kam

auch den Tag über nicht. Wer

weiss, ob die Wasser anders ge=

flossen wären wenn ich sie gehabt

hätte?

(xx) Auf der Brigantine Kon=

stantinos kleidete ich mich wieder

um u. fuhr nach Yildiz hinauf.

Bei Ibrahim musste ich nur

eine Stunde warten bis Tahsin

kam. Ich erkannte gleich, dass

in der Nacht die Heinzelmännchen

On a slow train known as the “Conventionnel,” somewhere in Bulgaria, outside Phillipoplis.

So here I am, escaped again from the murderers' den and the robbers' country.

Yesterday had the usual beginning.

When I arrived outside Beshiktash, Wellisch had no reply from Greenberg as yet. Nor did it come during the day. Who knows whether the waters would have flowed differently if I had had it?

I changed my clothes again on the brigantine “Konstantinos" and drove up to Yildiz.

At Ibrahim’s I had to wait only one hour before Tahsin came. I recognized at once that during the night the Yildiz gremlins had been here again and destroyed my work.

3 באוגוסט [1902]

ברכבת האטית הקרויה Conventionnel, אי־שם בבולגריה, לפני פיליפּוֹפְּל [פלובדיב].

שוב נמלטתי אפוא ממאורת הרוצחים ומארץ השודדים.

פתיחתו של יום אתמול היתה כבשאר הימים.

כשהגעתי אל מול בֶּשיקטאש עדיין לא היתה תשובתו של גרינבֶּרג בידיו של וֶליש. גם במשך היום לא הגיעה. מי יודע אם היה משתנה זרם המים אילו היתה תשובתו בידי.

על סירת הפירטים קוֹנסטנטינוֹס שוב החלפתי את בגדי ועליתי ליילדיז.

אצל איבּרָהים נאלצתי להמתין רק שעה עד בואו של טאחסין. מיד הבחנתי שגמדי הלילה של יילדיז שוב היו כאן והרסו את מלאכת ידַי.
