als Wolffsohn die Idee entwickelte,

dass Edmund Rothschild seine

Colonien der Bank übergeben u.

dafür Actien nehmen solle. Dann

möge sich auch die J[ewish] C[olonization] Association] hinter

die Bank stellen.

Ich glaube, dieser ausgezeichnete

Vorschlag Wolffsohns wird die

Sache vorwärts bringen. Mar=

morek (der Architekt) geht nächste

Woche nach Paris. Ich gebe ihm

den Auftrag, Edm[und] Rothschild diesen

Vorschlag zu überbringen.

Gelingt die Bankgründung, dann

sind wir über das Schwerste

hinaus. Ich muss dem nächsten

Congress etwas mitbringen. Die

Bank wäre dazu grossartig ge=

eignet.

An Alex Marmorek nach Paris geschrieben,

er möge durch Dr. Henri v. Rothschild

oder direct Edm[un]d R[othschild] den Wolffsohn'schen

Vorschlag mittheilen. Ich warne ihn

but he turned serious when Wolffsohn developed the idea that Edmond Rothschild should hand his colonies over to the Bank and take shares in return. Then the I.C.A. should get behind the Bank also.

I believe this excellent proposal of Wolffsohn’s will advance the matter. Marmorek (the architect) is going to Paris next week. I shall give him the assignment of taking this proposal to Edmond Rothschild.

If the founding of the Bank works out, we shall be over the worst. I must bring the next Congress something. The Bank would be splendidly suited for it.

Wrote to Alex Marmorek at Paris to submit Wolffsohn’s proposal to Edmond R., through Dr. Henri de Rothschild or directly.

ואולם רק אחרי שגולל לפניו וולפסון את הרעיון שאֶדמוּנד רוטשילד ימסור את המושבות שלו לַבּנק ויקבל מניות תמורתן — רק אז הרצין. אז אולי תתייצב גם יק״א מאחורי הבנק.

אני סבור שההצעה המצוינת הזאת של וולפסון תקדם את העניין. מַרמוֹרֶק (האדריכל) יוצא בשבוע הבא לפאריס. אורה לו למסור לאֶדמוּנד רוטשילד את ההצעה הזאת.

אם יצליח ייסוּד הבנק, כבר יהיה הקשה ביותר מאחורינו. אני חייב להביא עמי משהו לקונגרס הבא. הבנק יהיה הדבר ההולם ביותר.
